I have dle with sle symptoms, the test shows nothing, you have not lost the plot, I have started keeping a diary to take with me to rheumy, not too long ago i felt i was going crazy, I found this website, and got so much support just when I needed it, I had so many questions answered. you know your body, you know when somethings not right, just dont give up.

Yippee! at last. I am keeping a diary of my day to day health to show the rheumy in September. I sound like a hypocondriac but everything just fits into place symptom wise and it explains such a lot. It took me 2yrs to get a DLE diagnosis so I dont expect miracles from my next visit to hospital. Thanks lots.

Hi there,my daughter was dxd with severe sle last year, turns out because she has not had a massive improvement on all the meds, she had a blood test, which showed no signs of anthing to do with sle,no one can find the results she was dxd with as she has seen so many consultants, cardiologist, dermt, renal, neurologist.

They are now saying they are going to continue to treat her as if she has lupus, until they can say different.she is due to have repeat brain and spine scans to see if she has scarring which may point to multiple sclerosis ,she has been on antimalarials, immunesupprents and steroids since last year, which are also the meds that would be used for many other autoimmune diseases, and she has improved massively, but just not enough to say that she is out of the woods yet.

She sees a ms nurse, who also deals with the odd sle patients, she has been brilliant, she did say that it happens quite a lot, that patients diagnosis are changed.

I hope you get some answers as soon as possible, take care.Sandy

Hi, I too have DLE and no positive blood tests but I have all the symptoms of SLE, sjogrens, fibromyalgia etc. It took me years to get a diagnosis until I found a fantastic Rheumy, who believed that I was not a hypochondriac. Keep a diary and keep pressing for some help.
